Paranoia 2007
This was a game we played in high school. I’m just keeping it here because of the memories. If you find the premise interesting, try playing it in your school. The more people join, the crazier the paranoia spreads! However, just make sure you give a tentative deadline date or risk the game dying into non-existence.
The Parameters:
- You must get your target to say the word exactly as it appears on your assignment sheet. No variations accepted. (Ex: if your assigned word is run, ran, running, runs, etc., do not count.)
- You must be directly responsible for getting your target to say your word. If the target says the word in the course of conversation, it does not count unless it was directly in response to something you said, asked, did, etc.
- You can only make a kill during school hours (7:15am – 4:00pm). A kill can only occur within the school and the nearby grounds (Hamilton Park). Note: You will also be allowed to kill your target during field trips, school sponsored events, etc.
- You are NOT ALLOWED TO ASK WHO IS PLAYING, NOR SAY WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE IN THE GAME! [this is to add to the paranoia].
- If you feel like your target knows the word you have, email us and we will reassign you another word.
- You MUST notify the gamerunners of your kills / elimination ASAP!!!.
Statuses:To add to the paranoia of the game, the names of the participants will be kept secret. Only when the person has been eliminated will their name be revealed. To see those who have been eliminated, please check this link:
- Report the kill and the time it occurred to the gamerunners via email as soon as possible. You can also post your kills in designated drop boxes and bulletins. This way we can keep track of who is in or out of the game.
- Get from your (now deceased) target their target and word. This is your new assignment. (Ex: If I killed Anita by getting her to say “incomprensiva” and she had been trying to get Marissa to say “fuzzy”, I would now have to eliminate Marissa by getting her to say “fuzzy”.
Deadline: If you want to play, simply sign up by April 5th. Just add your name and grade on the sign-up sheet or email the info at MAHSkillers@gmail.comSee George Salazar or Marissa Nimnual for more details. The game will begin right after Spring Break.
